Student Support Programs

DSF wants every college student to successfully complete a college degree or certificate. Below are some helpful resources and programs that are available at FLC

  • STEM-3 – Provides free individualized academic and personal support services to eligible students, including academic, financial aid, and graduate advising, tutoring, scholarship awards, computer lab & lounge, and educational resources.
  • U-RISE Research ProgramThe objective of this honors undergraduate research training program is to prepare underrepresented students majoring in scientific disciplines to pursue Ph.D.s and long term careers in biomedical or behavioral science research.
  • TRIO Student Support Services – TRIO supports you, so you stay in college and graduate. Students love the TRIO program because we: provide a comfortable place to hang out and get work done, know we care and are looking out for you, help you figure things out, even if it’s not academic, and help you stay on track for graduation.
