Advisor: Danté Bills
Danté is a proud Colorado native. His participation in the TRIO Talent Search program throughout high school fueled his passion to help underrepresented students pursue a postsecondary education. With the help of the prestigious Daniels Fund Scholarship, Danté was able to attend Colorado State University and earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. Danté gained much of his educational experience while working with Colorado GEAR UP (CGU) at Aurora Central High School. During his time with CGU, Danté returned to school at Regis University, earning his master’s degree in Nonprofit Management. Danté is truly excited to work alongside the Denver Scholarship Foundation team and continue to help students pursue their educational goals. Learn more about Danté on LinkedIn.
Colorado College Fellow: Salem Tewelde
Salem graduated from Colorado College (CC) in May 2018 with a degree in Feminist and Gender studies. Her passion for social justice, education equity, and curiosity about the nonprofit world led her to her position as a CC Fellow at Denver Scholarship Foundation. As a College Advisor, Salem directly and collaboratively aids other first generation and immigrant students similar to herself. Outside of work, Salem spends ample time with friends and family eating, traveling, and laughing.
