Mission

The purpose of the Alumni Advisory Committee Mentorship Program is to empower DSF Scholars and Alumni to grow professionally while inspiring them to contribute to the Denver community by providing individualized mentorship.

Mandatory Events

Please note all events will take place in the Denver metro area.

  • Thursday, August 6 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Program Orientation and Training  
  • Thursday, September 10 from 5:00  7:00 p.m., Program Kickoff  
  • Friday, October 23 from 5:00  7:00 p.m., Program Gathering  
  • Saturday, November 14 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., Program Gathering 
  • Thursday, January 21 from 5:00  7:00 p.m., Program Gathering  
  • Thursday, March 11 from 5:00  7:00 p.m., Mentorship Development  
  • Saturday, May 22 from 11:00 a.m.  3:00 p.m, Field Day  
  • Thursday, June 17 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Recognition Event  

Mentee Requirements & Commitment

  • Be a current DSF Scholar on track for Fall 2020 payment.  
  • Meet with mentor a minimum of twice a month, August 2020 through June 2021. 
  • Attend mandatory events in to continue mentorship development and build connections with other participants.  
  • Schedule 30-minute check-in calls with Program Leads as needed.  
  • Agree to and sign Waiver and Release of Liability, Code of Conduct, and Commitment forms. 

Mentor Requirements & Commitment

  • Be a DSF Alumni living in Colorado. 
  • Pass background check. 
  • Meet with mentee a minimum of twice a month, August 2020 through June 2021. 
  • Attend mandatory events in to continue mentorship development and build connections with other participants.  
  • Schedule 30-minute check-in calls with Program Leads as needed.  
  • Agree to and sign Waiver and Release of Liability, Code of Conduct, and Commitment forms. 

Important Notice

DSF staff will do its best to match all applicants; however, to ensure best mentor-mentee matches, our team cannot guarantee all applicants will be selected. If you are not able to commit to a twice a month and full year mentor-mentee relationship, please consider applying at another time.
