Mission

The purpose of the Alumni Advisory Committee Mentorship Program is to empower DSF Scholars and Alumni to grow professionally while inspiring them to contribute to the Denver community by providing individualized mentorship.

Mentorship Program Objectives

  • Mentee: To expand your professional network through mentorship and accomplish one academic/professional goal by June 20th.
  • Mentor: To gain mentorship experience by providing mentee guidance to accomplish one academic/professional goal by June 20th.

Mandatory Events

Please note all events will take place in the Denver metro area.

  • Saturday, November 9th from 10am-3pm, Kickoff Event
  • Saturday, December 14th, Service Day
  • Saturday, February 8th from 10am-3pm, Mentorship Development
  • Saturday, May 30th from 11am-3pm, Field Day
  • Saturday, June 20th from 11am-1:30pm, Recognition Event

Mentee Requirements & Commitment

  • Be a DSF Scholar on track for Fall payment.
  • Meet with mentor for at least one hour once a month, October 2019 through June 2020.
  • Schedule mandatory 30-minute check-in calls with Program Leads in November, January, March, April.
  • Agree to and sign Waiver and Release of Liability, Code of Conduct, and Commitment forms.

Mentor Requirements & Commitment

  • Be a DSF Alum.
  • Pass background check.
  • Meet with mentee for at least one hour once a month, October 2019 through June 2020.
  • Schedule mandatory 30-minute check-in calls with Program Leads in November, January, March, April.
  • Agree to and sign Waiver and Release of Liability, Code of Conduct, and Commitment forms.

DSF staff will do its best to match all applicants; however, to ensure best mentor-mentee matches, our team cannot guarantee all applicants will be selected for the current year. If you are not able to commit to a once a month and full year mentor-mentee relationship, please consider applying at another time.
