Luella Chavez D’Angelo the Senior Advisor at Lee Hecht Harrison. Luella is a C-Suite executive who has led global, multifunctional teams in marketing, communications, government relations, finance, human relations, business operations, and corporate social responsibility, and has worked in the public, private and non-profit sectors.  She has a passion for helping individuals achieve their career goals and is known for working with and for purpose-driven brands and mission-minded organizations.   

Most recently, Luella served as Chief Executive Officer at Colorado Inclusive Economy and prior to that Chief Marketing and Communications Officer for the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee in Colorado Springs, Colorado.  She was responsible for building and protecting the USOPC brand and reputation through strategic communications, traditional and digital marketing, government relations, public relations, litigation and crisis communications, community relationships, and stakeholder mapping. 

Earlier, she was Vice Chancellor, Enterprise Development and General Manager for the University of Colorado, where she was responsible for a new, innovative education delivery model for executive education.   

From 2001 – 2015, Luella held significant roles at Western Union, most recently as Global Chief Communications Officer where she was responsible for worldwide brand communications and reputation management including investor relations, media relations, crisis communications, executive positioning, corporate social responsibility, digital communications, and employee communications.  She also led the Western Union Foundation, where she built a nationally recognized organization, distributing over $100 million in support to more than 2,500 non-profit, non-governmental organizations (NGO’s) in more than 130 countries.  She began her career at First Data Corporation where she was President and CEO of First Data Foundation.  

Luella received her MBA in Marketing/Marketing Management from The University of New Mexico – Robert O. Anderson School of Management.  She is currently a board member of the Delta Dental of Colorado Foundation and the Denver Scholarship Foundation and is a member of the Women’s Forum on Colorado. She has received numerous awards for community service and was named a Top 10 Leader by Executive Hispanic Magazine.
