Liana Miera

Born and raised in Denver, Liana grew up in a household that valued both her Irish and Latina cultural heritage, as well as education. She attended DPS schools, where her mother, a first generation college graduate, was a proud bilingual teacher. Within DPS, she graduated from Denver Center for International Studies, where she developed an interest in learning about and experiencing many different cultures through a program that valued diversity and integrity. Liana graduated from Whittier College in California with a Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, after which she spent two years working with students in Madrid, Spain, in a bilingual school. Living abroad allowed her to visit multiple countries and learn about other cultures. Now that she is back in Denver, Liana is excited to be assisting the finance team in their ability to carry out DSF’s mission and make a meaningful impact for DPS students. Along with traveling, Liana enjoys spending time outdoors – camping and hiking, and playing board games with her friends.
