Elynn Price

Campus Advisor, University of Colorado Denver

Elynn is a firm believer that higher education can change the trajectory of people’s lives. She is originally from Southeastern, Colorado and pursued degrees in Sociology and Political Science at the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Being a first-generation college student, she struggled navigating the complex systems and confusing policies of higher education but was lucky to get connected on campus with a pre-college access program that allowed her to mentor and provide resources to other first-generation college students. From this experience, Elynn, developed a passion for helping others specifically in higher education and personal development. She has over a decade of experience in higher education and has worked with programs such as the Pre-Collegiate Development Program at CU Boulder and CU Denver, TRIO Upward Bound, and TRIO Student Support Services.

Elynn’s approach to working with students is to meet them where they are and help them set small goals that will ultimately build into great achievements. She is a Gallup trained Clifton Strengths Coach and believes that everyone holds the keys to their own success but may just need a little help finding the right key. She is thankful for the opportunity to serve students and be a small part of their journey and is looking forward to serving DSF Scholars as a Campus Advisor at the Community College of Denver and the University of Colorado Denver.

In her spare time, Elynn enjoys spending time with her husband, John and two children, Mia and Benson. She is exceptional at making up silly songs to sing to them. On the weekend, you may find Elynn trying the abundance of styles of green chili in and around the Denver Metro area.
