Apply for the DSF Scholarship

The DSF Scholarship Application for the 2018-19 school year is now closed.

If you did not submit a DSF application by April 1, applications are no longer being accepted. Check back in early February 2019 for the 2019-20 DSF Application.

Updates to your college selection for the 2018-19 academic year are no longer being accepted.  If you will not be attending the college DSF has on file, you will not be eligible for the DSF Scholarship for the upcoming academic year.

DSF strives to process scholarship payments as soon as possible once we receive financial aid, enrollment, and Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) information from your college at the beginning of each term.  Click here for details about the DSF payment process and timing.

DSF offers need-based scholarships to qualifying graduates of Denver Public Schools.  The scholarship can be used at DSF’s Partner Colleges in Colorado, including technical, community, and four-year colleges and universities. Students must enroll full-time.  The scholarship is renewable for up to four years depending on the type of college you attend. Click here for our list of partner colleges.

To be considered for a DSF Scholarship, students must meet our initial Eligibility Requirements (listed in the Eligibility Section) and complete our application process detailed in one of the following checklists.

Please note: In order to apply for the DSF Scholarship, students must also apply for at least 3 other scholarships (click here to view our Scholarship Directory), or 2 scholarships and one student support program.  Click here for examples of student support programs at our Partner Colleges.

New applicants must complete additional steps in the application process. Be sure to follow the checklist that is appropriate for you.

  • Will graduate from high school in 2018; or
  • Graduated from high school in 2017, but are applying for the DSF Scholarship for the first time; or

New applicants must complete additional steps in the application process. Be sure to follow the checklist that is appropriate for you.
