For more than a decade Denver7 has supported Denver Scholarship Foundation (DSF), as one of our longest-standing community and media partners. Together, they’ve shared countless stories of perseverance, achievement and success, shining a light on the journeys of Denver Public Schools (DPS) students.

As a dedicated and trusted media sponsor and proud supporter of DSF, Denver7 has amplified the voices of Denver students served through 15 DSF Future Centers located inside DPS high schools, highlighted the accomplishments of DSF Scholars, Alumni and celebrated the broader Denver community. From covering our Annual Homecoming Gala, winning our Community Partner of the year in 2024, to sharing the stories of students and families pursuing their college dreams, Denver7 helped us share the importance and the power of community support.
In May 2025, Denver7 became an integral collaborative partner of DSF’s “Congrats Class of 2025” campaign, honoring what graduation means for students and their families and featuring DSF Scholars from University of Colorado Denver, Metropolitan State University of Denver, and Community College of Denver. During this annual campaign that included outdoor billboards and broadcast spots on Denver7, the Denver community was also invited to join in on the celebration by investing in the future of DSF Scholars, ensuring more students have the resources they need to reach the finish line.

One of the most impactful initiatives within this partnership is the Financial Aid Call Center. For several years, DSF has partnered with Denver7 to allow families a direct way to get answers to their financial aid questions, right from their television screens and by picking up their phones. These call centers are critical in bringing awareness to the importance of filling out financial aid applications and provide students and parents with access to DSF experts who make the complex financial aid process easier to understand. “Partnering with Denver7 helps DSF make the financial aid process easier to understand by letting families call the number they see on their screen and get real-time answers. As a DSF Campus Advisor at MSU Denver, I usually work one-on-one with DSF Scholars every day — but on this day, we get to help the entire Denver community with their questions,” said DSF Campus Advisor, Denisse Villalba.

Alongside the call centers, Denver7 provide a series of interviews coverage that allows DSF to share critical and timely information about the financial aid applications that help students and their families make informed decisions about their post-high school plans. By amplifying these resources, Denver7 continues to play an essential role in breaking down barriers to access resources for higher education.
As one of the primary sources of information for the Denver community, Denver7’s unwavering support has been instrumental in raising awareness and helping make college possible for thousands pf Denver students. DSF extends our sincere gratitude to Kristin Stork, Director of Strategic Partnerships, for her leadership and dedication in strengthening this collaboration between Denver students and the DSF community. We look forward to continuing this impactful partnership for years to come.
Be sure to join Denver7’s Annual Financial Aid Call Center for the opportunity to get real-time answers about the financial aid applications and take an important step towards the college going process.
