Special thank you to Denver7, one of the longest-established media sponsors of Denver Scholarship Foundation (DSF) Homecoming Annual Gala. As a Media Sponsor and proud supporter of DSF, Denver7 has impacted many in the Denver community. Highlighting many Denver Public Schools (DPS) students served inside of the DSF Future Centers. As well as many success stories of DSF Scholars and Alumni and brought awareness to multiple DSF events, including the DSF’s annual Gala, financial aid preparation events, and other college readiness education, Denver7 is one of the primary sources of information for the Denver community. Their unwavering support has been imperative in continuing to bring awareness to helping make college possible for Denver students. DSF thanks the commitment of Kristin Stork, director of strategic partnerships, for her strategic efforts in collaborating with us in uplifting Denver students and the DSF community.

Someone who has also been a long-standing supporter of DSF and emceed our event since our inception is Anne Trujillo, Denver7 co-anchor and pillar in the Denver community. Anne has served on many boards, including DSF, since 2019. “I am incredibly proud to be associated with and support DSF because I have personally seen how lives are changed in such a positive way and fully expect to see these young people become our community leaders. DSF provides a path forward for students who have hopes and dreams yet don’t think they have the means to get there. Even more powerful is the generational impact a DSF scholar can have on their own family when they are the first to go to college. DSF scholars give me hope for the future,” said Anne.
After almost 40 years in Denver7, Anne plans to retire to take a break from the news and spend more time with her family before seeking a new adventure. Leaving a mark across many communities in Colorado and delivering the news every day, including many key events that have shaped the history of our state. Anne’s legacy has brought many industry advancements, including women and people of color, to the television news and its coverage. As a leader in our community, Anne has been recognized with many awards, including one of the most recent ones from the Latino Leadership Institute with the 2023 Legacy Award, dedicated to honoring those who have dedicated their lives to pursuing excellence, making a difference, and leaving a lasting legacy in our community. DSF thanks Anne for her unwavering commitment to DSF and our community and congratulates her on retirement; thank you for all you do.
Denver7, thank you for the continued support in helping make college possible for Denver Public Schools high school students, families, and partners to access post-high school learning!
