DSF Graduation Celebration Class of 2023

Congratulations, Class of 2023!

Jun 23, 2023

Denver Scholarship Foundation (DSF) hosted its annual Graduation Celebration on May 25 to say congratulations to the class of 2023, including all Denver Public Schools (DPS) and DSF Scholars graduates who reached this incredible milestone! We were honored to celebrate these students’ hard work and perseverance. DSF also congratulated the families and friends who supported them in their journeys. These students persevered through a global pandemic, online learning, Zoom meetings, and separation from friends and classmates. But they persisted through the challenges and showed remarkable strength, resilience, and adaptability.

DSF is incredibly proud of all the classes’ accomplishments and cannot wait to hear about the many victories yet to come. Our future is in great heads, and DSF is ready to see these leaders continue to impact the Denver community as these DSF Scholars, now Alumni, navigate each step in their new adventure. DSF encourages these graduates to embrace new challenges and opportunities and continue learning in their chosen paths.

DPS high school graduates and future DSF Scholars, DSF Scholars graduating from college, Alumni, board members, and associate board members attended the annual DSF Graduation Celebration and heard from one of our newest DSF Alumni. Bintou Diallo, one of DSF’s newest committee co-chairs of the Alumni Advisory Committee (AAC), addressed the class of 2023 with her own story and words of wisdom. We also had the privilege to listen to Kerrie Joy, artist, educator, revolutionary, and first-generation college graduate, whose powerful words and delivery lifted listeners out of their seats with a spoken word piece dedicated to our graduates.

Thank you to our supporters, donors, board members, staff, and community for helping to make college possible for these Denver students. As this celebration brings us all together, we treasure each story from every student, DSF Scholar, and Alumni who has crossed the graduation stage and is now on a continued journey and continuing to live a life of freedom of choice and opportunities.
