This Colorado Gives Day, Denver Scholarship Foundation (DSF) extends a heartfelt thank you to the Denver community for its remarkable generosity and unwavering support. Each year, Colorado Gives Day serves as a powerful reminder of the collective impact the community members can make when they unite to support and uplift their favorite nonprofits. This day of giving represents far more than a fundraising opportunity, but a celebration of shared commitment to education equity, economic mobility, and the long-term success of Denver’s students and families.
The importance of Colorado Gives Day brings together a diverse network of individuals, businesses, community organizations, and community partners from all across the state. Their support drives positive impact on various social, environmental, and cultural issues that shape the future of Colorado. For DSF specifically, this amplifies awareness of mission and highlights the value of our three-part nationally recognized program, which supports Denver students in their post-high school plans to pursue their educational and career goals. From guidance in our 15 DSF Future Centers inside of our Denver Public Schools (DPS) to financial assistance through the DSF Scholarship, to ongoing support from our DSF College Partners across the state, this approach helps to make college possible for thousands of Denver students by providing the resources and encouragement they need to thrive.

DSF Alum Lynn Ngo and her mentee, also a DSF Alum, Nadia Louis
This year, DSF was honored to feature the inspiring story of Lynn Ngo, a proud DSF Alum, DSF Associate Board Member, Mentor, and Donor. Lynn‘s educational journey illustrated the generational impact that intentional support and community investment can have. She first connected with DSF at her DSF Future Center at East High School, where her DSF College Advisor helped her through the college and scholarship process. With the DSF Scholarship, she became a DSF Scholar attending the University of Denver (DU) and earned her degree in Business Management. Today, she’s a Commercial Lender who gives back to the same community that once supported her. Lynn’s educational journey reflects the impact of DSF’s mission, inspiring and helping the future generation of Denver students achieve their college and career dreams.

DSF Associate Board Members with our mascot Future
Every year, DSF celebrates Colorado Gives Day with a community happy hour hosted by the DSF Associate Board, bringing together donors, DSF Alumni, Partners, and advocates who share the belief in the power of education. This gathering provided the delightful opportunity for community members to share the success of Denver students and our collective commitment to helping make college possible for thousands of DPS students. In the 2024-2025 academic year alone, DSF provided scholarships and wrap-around support to a record number of over 2,500 DSF Scholars, and they are continuing to thrive!
