Champions On and Off the Field: Denver Broncos Continue Supporting DSF

The Denver Broncos continue to make an impact both on and off the field. Denver Scholarship Foundation (DSF) is proud to celebrate the Denver Broncos’ continued investment in Denver students and their futures through an expanded partnership opening doors to education-to-career pathways with an investment that strengthens DSF’s ability to provide individualized support to Denver Public Schools (DPS) students as they explore educational and career pathways aligned with their goals, strengths, and aspirations.

Together, we are helping Denver students navigate pathways ranging from technical certificates and apprenticeships to college degrees and meaningful careers. Through personalized advising, career exploration events, and connections to real-world opportunities, students gain the knowledge and confidence they need to make informed decisions about their futures. Miguel Bañuelos Garcia, Career and Applied Pathways Manager and DSF Alum, shared what the partnership has meant to his daily work, “Our partnership with the Denver Broncos helps turn career possibilities into something DSF Scholars can see, experience, and believe in. By expanding access to career exposure and professional development, we’re helping students discover opportunities they may not have imagined for themselves and build the skills to pursue them.” This partnership demonstrates the power of community collaboration in creating lasting opportunities that shape the next generation of Denver leaders.

As workforce needs continue to evolve in Denver, DSF is expanding its programming to ensure students are prepared for the opportunities ahead. DSF’s dedicated Career and Applied Pathways team guides programming for DPS students, working alongside DSF College Advisors in all 15 DSF Future Centers to support students in their postsecondary planning.

This partnership is especially meaningful as the Denver Broncos are a proud sponsor of the DSF Future Center at Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Early College. Whether working with DPS students at a DSF Future Center or supporting DSF Scholars at the Auraria Campus, DSF College and Campus Advisors build long-term, trusting relationships that help students navigate complex postsecondary systems and confidently plan for their futures.

The Denver Broncos’ investment in DSF strengthens our evidence based three-part model ensuring DSF Scholars are connected to workforce development opportunities beginning in high school and throughout their entire journey with DSF.  Now in its third year, the DSF Career Success Coaching Program mentors and coaches DSF Scholars while in college as they build resumes and LinkedIn profiles, set goals, prepare for interviews, access networking opportunities, and receive direct mentorship that builds confidence as they enter the workforce.

DSF Coaches, including community members and DSF Alumni, work directly with DSF Scholars to offer guidance, encouragement, and make meaningful career connections. Jenna Diaz Gonzalez, a DSF Career Success Coach in the 2025–26 academic year, connected with DSF Scholar Luz and shared, “Our work together went so well that she connected me with her best friend, a former DSF Scholar who had been struggling to find her path forward. I’ve worked with her a few times and helped secure an interview for her, and she is now working at a nonprofit.” Stories like these illustrate the transformative impact of coaching, mentorship, and community connection. As new DSF Coaches and DSF Scholars begin the academic year, we look forward to seeing more DSF Scholars find opportunities, build confidence, and shape their futures with the support from our community behind them.
