On Friday, February 10th we held our 2nd Annual Leadership Conference for DSF Scholars. More than seventy DSF Scholars and guests attended, doubling the attendance from last year! Each Scholar attended leadership and networking workshops. Workshops were presented by young professionals from our DSF Alumni Advisory Committee, as well as our partners from Colorado Challenge. Scholars also had an opportunity to listen to a panel of professionals and an inspiring keynote address by Javon Brame, Director of Student Support Services at CCD.
The experience was designed to help students understand their strengths and challenges, focusing on areas in which they can utilize their skills to become better leaders in their personal, academic, and professional life. Scholars were able to put their networking skills to practice with professional guests from private business, city and state government, and DSF Board members. We look forward to our 3rd Annual Leadership Conference next year!
