Apply for scholarships.
Scholarships are an essential component of your financial aid package. Learn how DSF can support you with a scholarship and learn about other potential opportunities.
Apply for the DSF Scholarship
The DSF Scholarship Application for the 2021-22 academic year is now closed.
If you did not submit a DSF application by May 1, applications are no longer being accepted. Check back in early February 2022 for the 2022-23 DSF Application.
If you submitted an application, be sure to read all DSF emails & complete your DSF requirements by July 15. You may update your 2021-22 college choice until July 15, 2021. Go to portal.denverscholarship.org to update your college choice.
The college selected in your DSF Student Portal account as of July 15 is the college where you will be considered for a scholarship award for the entire 2021-22 academic year. If you will not be attending the college DSF has on file as of July 15, you will not be eligible for the DSF Scholarship for the upcoming academic year.
DSF strives to process scholarship payments as soon as possible once we receive financial aid, enrollment, and Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) information from your college at the beginning of each term. Click here for details about the DSF payment process and timing.
You can find a complete list of steps you must complete to qualify for a DSF Scholarship in the Applicant Checklist.
DSF offers need-based scholarships to qualifying graduates of Denver Public Schools. The scholarship can be used at DSF’s Partner Colleges in Colorado, including technical, community, and four-year colleges and universities. Students must enroll full-time. The scholarship is renewable for up to four years depending on the type of college you attend.

end, we have taken a two pronged approach, offering scholarships for Private Pilot, and Certificated Flight instructor training. Up to two scholarships annually are available in each area, valued at $2500 each. We shifted in 2020 from academic to flight training scholarships, in hopes of building the number of pilots in our great state. While we struggled to attempt to include financing all aspects of flight training like FAA exams and examiner’s fees, in the end we streamlined the process, intending to fund strictly aircraft (and possibly simulator) rental, and Instructor fees. We recognized that our awards, while substantial, are not complete funding for the certificates sought by our applicants. The deadline to apply for any scholarship is July 1st annually. The scholarship committee will review all applications, certifications, and letters of recommendation in early July. We will contact applicants in mid to late July to schedule a virtual interview, either via telephone or video conference. The awards of scholarships could happen as early as the end of August. Funds will be deposited in the accounts of the winners at their flight school. Scholarship winners, and guests are invited to attend our annual meeting in November, and the winner and a guest are invited to attend our annual holiday party in December. Various Scholarships for students interested in an Aviation career. Contact information for each scholarship is found on the website.

who have risked failure in pursuit of something new. While so much of student life is focused on achievement, MCA Denver believes that in order to create something original and authentic, it is necessary to risk failure. The Failure Awards are based on documentation of a project the student created or produced that demonstrates originality and creativity. This can be a creative project, like a novel, a play, an opera; a technology-based project like a design for a new car, or a spaceship, or a robot; or something that falls outside of these criteria altogether. Some projects may present solutions to problems in the world, however, all projects will be considered, no matter how harebrained, impractical, or absurd.

Recipients must be available to work in metropolitan Washington, DC for at least 90 calendar days each summer while in college. Submit application online. The Undergraduate Scholar Program was developed, in part, to assist minority and disabled students, but application is open to all students who meet the requirements. The program offers unmatched experience. You'll complete work sessions during each summer break, increasing your knowledge and job responsibilities while assisting intelligence professionals and applying your academic skills. We believe in challenging our Scholars with meaningful work that relates to their college major. An IT major, for example, might be given increasingly complex projects involving sophisticated computer systems. An engineering major might help produce a piece of state-of-the-art equipment. A finance major could be involved in developing and analyzing budgets for a worldwide operation. A foreign language major might be instrumental in translating documents for US policymakers. As a final example, a human resource major could have the opportunity to develop and implement personnel policies and procedures. If you are part of the CIA's Undergraduate Scholar Program you will be given an annual salary; an optional benefits package that includes health, dental and vision insurance, life insurance, and retirement; and up to $18,000 per calendar year for tuition, mandatory fees, books, and supplies. You'll be required to work at an Agency facility in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area during summer breaks and to maintain full-time college status during the school year with a minimum cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA. We will pay the cost of transportation between school and the Washington, D.C. area each summer and provide a housing allowance.
