DSF Service Day at Four Mile Historic Park
Saturday, February 8, 2020
9:30 am - 12:00 pm
Join the DSF Mentorship Program for a morning or afternoon helping out a Denver historic institution. Complimentary breakfast and lunch included. Volunteers will be “chinking and daubing” the horse barn (fixing the concrete on the log cabin structure), repairing fencing, and critter-proofing the chicken coop as well as some maintenance gardening. Activities will take place outdoors, so dress warm. We will enjoy hot cocoa by the log fire pit to warm up. All DSF Scholars, Alumni, staff, and friends are welcome, though space is limited, so sign up early!

Four Mile Historic Park is a Colorado nonprofit with the mission to educate a diverse community through experiences which promote preservation, interpretation and enjoyment of Denver’s Western Heritage. This 160 year-old, 12-acre historic site, four miles from downtown Denver, includes Denver’s oldest standing house that was once the final stagecoach stop on the Cherokee Trail before travelers arrived in the big city! Besides the house, a museum, a historic schoolhouse, barns, stagecoaches, horses, goats, chickens and gardens along the Cherry Creek are always in need of care.
