Born and raised in the Finger Lakes region of New York, MacKenzie discovered her passion for creativity, service, and learning at an early age. These passions solidified in college to introduce a new desire: creating authentic and accessible designs. Her path through education was unique, first pursuing a degree in music and then ceramic sculpture. She finally shifted her sight to graphic design. MacKenzie graduated with her associate degree in fine arts and design from Corning Community College and moved on to complete her Bachelor of Arts degree from Champlain College in graphic design and digital media. MacKenzie joins Denver Scholarship Foundation (DSF) after moving on from the world of market research to fulfill a dream of creating more impact by joining the nonprofit community. At DSF, she strives to foster belonging through visual storytelling and works with the organization to strategize the best use for marketing and design. Her work at DSF is currently concentrated in producing dynamically branded digital and print content, visual storytelling, and collaborating to bring the best information to students and supporters through design. Her curiosity keeps her busy in her downtime, whether is it analog or digital, she loves to discover new skills and get out to explore her new home. Learn more about MacKenzie on LinkedIn.
