Joseph is passionate about connecting with people from around the world. He has lived in three continents and has worked in multi-cultural environments throughout his life. He started his accounting career in the United States, at Centennial Airport, Colorado, where he worked in a semi-government environment and was part of the team that established the Centennial Airport Foundation with responsibilities of managing the books of accounts to include financial reporting to Arapahoe County Public Airport Authority Board. He has worked in various capacities in the business sectors including controller for a small to medium business in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from India, and has an MBA, general, from Webster University, United States.

Joseph is a proud parent of a Denver Public Schools student. He serves on the City Leadership Advisory Council, Denver Sister Cities International, as well as board treasurer for Scope International. His journey started on the slopes of Mt. Kenya where he was born. His parents thereafter moved to the city in the sun, Nairobi, Kenya, as popularly known. Nairobi is a sister city of Denver, Colorado, where Joseph has been domiciled for over 18 years. He loves to volunteer his time in philanthropy and building friendships and partnerships with fellow global citizens and organizations to make the world a better place.
