Born and raised in the Twin Cities of Minnesota, Bekah discovered her passion for organization, relationships and being of service to others at an early age. As a kid, she started making lists, color coding whatever she could get her hands on, offering services to family friends (babysitting, cleaning, etc.), and would even help out her high school sports teams with keeping things organized. This passion of hers took her on a path with many twists and turns, but it is one that she is proud of. Bekah earned her Licensed Practical Nursing degree from Saint Paul College in 2013 and worked in clinics for several years. After working as a nurse, Bekah decided to go back to school and earned her Bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities (Go Gophers!) in Sports Management and a minor in Leadership. From there, she has worked in both professional and collegiate sports, hospitality, real estate and can now add non-profit to her skillset! Bekah gravitated towards DSF because of its dedication to Denver's student community and the mission of changing lives through education and empowerment. Joining DSF in August of 2021, her position as the Operations Manager at DSF is one that utilizes her passion for organization and being part of a team. She contributes to DSF by building out new systems, processes and finding ways to make work more efficient and streamlined. In her free time, you can find Bekah cheering on the Minnesota Vikings (and all MN sports teams for that matter), discovering new breweries and restaurants, being active in her church, reading a good book, and spending time with her family, especially her 4-year old niece and her 19-month old nephew.
