During Denver Scholarship Foundation Virtual Gala 2020: Celebrating with Spirit, we are taking a moment to celebrate a few of our partnerships that make our work possible.
Denver Scholarship Foundation (DSF) is proud to have a longstanding 7-year partnership with DaVita, a health care provider focused on transforming care delivery to improve quality of life for patients globally.
Part of that strong connection is built on DaVita’s philosophy that it takes a village to accomplish something incredible – like helping provide scholarships to hundreds of DSF Scholars. When asked which part of DSF’s three step approach of college access, scholarship, and college success resonates most, DaVita couldn’t pick just one. They understand the need for all of them to work together. Like a three-legged stool, each part reinforces and supports the others.
DaVita continues to engage with DSF, not only through financial support but through skill-based volunteerism and board engagement as well. Martha Wofford, group president at DaVita and DSF Board Member, says “it has been a privilege” to serve as a member of the board. DSF continues to improve in our mission of college success, and I am so proud of the organization, and of the students who are working so hard to realize their potential.”
DSF thanks DaVita for helping to create a path to college for our nearly 1,800 DSF Scholars who are enrolled in college this fall at universities, community colleges, and technical colleges across the state of Colorado.
“We believe Colorado businesses not only have an important role but also have a responsibility to engage with educators and the public to support efforts that give our children unprecedented access and opportunities to learn,” shares DaVita.
