Dear friend of Denver Scholarship Foundation (DSF),
A lot has changed over the past several days, but one thing has not: our commitment to our mission to inspire and empower Denver Public Schools students to enroll in and graduate from postsecondary institutions of higher education, by providing the tools, knowledge, and financial resources essential for success.
As we continue to strategize the best way to deliver upon our mission in these unusual times, DSF is monitoring the COVID-19 situation closely and has decided it is in the best interest of our employees, students, and the greater community to close our physical offices, and transition to remote operations, starting today, Monday, March 16. We will continue to monitor the situation to determine when we will reinstitute our regular office hours.
Our commitment to making college possible for Denver’s students drives all of our actions, even when faced with adversity. As we transition to remote operation, we are adapting to serve our students and Scholars on their journeys to and through college graduation. We have taken steps to make sure our delivery of high-quality programming and proactive outreach to inspire and empower our students and Scholars, for the time being in a virtual setting, progresses seamlessly.
Due to the many school closures and schedule changes related to COVID-19, the DSF application and FAFSA deadline for the 2020-21 academic year will be extended. This message will be updated once the new deadline is announced. We encourage students to complete their application as soon as possible at ➡️ www.denverscholarship.org/students/dsf-scholarship.
If you have any questions or concerns, please email email@example.com and a staff member will reply as quickly as possible.
In the spirit noted above, DSF will postpone our upcoming Bright Futures Breakfast originally scheduled for Wednesday, April 14, 2020, at 7:00 a.m. at the History Colorado Center.
Additionally, we have canceled all DSF-sponsored events through April 30. We will review recommendations from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) on an ongoing basis, making changes to our event schedule as necessary.
If you have questions about DSF events, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 303.951.4156.
