Initiated Ordinance 300 passes

Dear friends,

With all ballots counted, our Prosperity Denver Campaign Team has let us know that it is time to declare victory for Initiated Ordinance 300! We are thankful to the Denver Elections Division as they continue working overtime to ensure all ballots have been counted.

With the passage of 300, Denver Scholarship Foundation (DSF) and so many other local nonprofit organizations have the opportunity to serve even more Denver students on their journeys to and through college graduation. As we celebrate this first-of-its-kind community initiative, I want to take a moment to say thank you. Thank you for your belief in DSF. When I started this journey as CEO last December, I had no idea how much this organization would transform my life. Every day, I have the privilege of working with the DSF staff, board of directors, and various community supporters to help make college possible for Denver Public Schools (DPS) students.

With the community anchored by our side, we work tirelessly to help close the long-standing educational and economic achievement gaps through college access and success programs. With the success of 300, and your continued support, we have the chance to increase that access to opportunity for even more students!

A college education matters. Now, more than ever, is the time for us to unite our community together in support of our students and DSF Scholars. This is an opportunity to keep the success of our students and Scholars in the forefront. Education is the passport to the future, and we must continue to support future generations of Denver students.

In the coming weeks, we will continue to share ways in which you can support DSF through your time, talent, and resources to help make college possible for thousands of students each year.

We are incredibly grateful we are for everyone’s tremendous dedication, passion, and commitment to the passage of this initiative and, even more importantly, to our students. Thank you to our board, staff, donors, supporters, and to Denver’s voters. Thank you for standing with DSF!
