It was an absolute pleasure to celebrate our Scholars at the DSF Graduation Celebration on Tuesday, June 5, 2018. We are delighted to welcome our preliminary Scholarship Finalists into the DSF community, and we congratulate our graduating Scholars as they become Alumni. From DSF Board Members to College Partners, from staff to Scholars and their families—the support and excitement of the Denver community was tangible.

We are overjoyed to mark June 5th, 2018 as Denver Scholarship Foundation Day! Thank you to Amy Venturi, Deputy Chief of Staff for Governor John Hickenlooper, for sharing this wonderful announcement with us at the Graduation Celebration event.
Elias Quinonez, Campus Contact at Colorado State University (CSU), shared words of wisdom for our Scholars: Whether you’re a preliminary DSF Scholarship Finalist ready to head off to college, or a graduating DSF Scholar about to embark on the journey of your career, don’t forget the most important thing that you carry with you—your last name.
We also heard from DSF Scholar Leo Berna, who is majoring in Business Administration at CSU with a Marketing Concentration and Ethnic Studies Minor. We thank Leo for sharing his story about how DSF has supported him both financially and emotionally as he works to navigate through college.
Finally, warmest congratulations to Emily Griffith Technical College (EGTC) for receiving the DSF College Partner of the Year Award! Through EGTC’s meaningful engagement of students, their eagerness to collaborate, and their exemplary leadership in the community, we could not have chosen a more deserving College Partner for this award.
Thank you once again to those of you who were able to celebrate with us! Please visit our Facebook page for all event photos.
